Community-based learning is a hit with parents and pupils in Bradford Leeds Huddersfield Dewsbury

13 March 2013

Hot off the press… A couple of weeks ago a reporter from a local newspaper (Asian Sunday) paid us a visit to learn more about EducateFirst’s community-based learning initiative for school children. We welcomed the visit and the management team was happy to show the reporter around the Bradford tuition centre, the fourth centre where the project has been set up to provide affordable tuition to the local residents.

During the visit the reporter was introduced to our classes where she met some of the tutors and students to gain their thoughts on the tutoring service offer by EducateFirst and the benefit it was bringing to the local community.

Do you wish to attend our classes in Bradford, Huddersfield, Leeds or Dewsbury? Simply complete the online registration form at www.educatefirst.co.uk/classes. Classes are offered in Maths, English and Science – all students aged 5–16 are welcome to attend.

For more information about how we can help you or your child with their education, please visit our website

The team would like to thank the Editor and staff at Asian Sunday for covering this story.

  1. Wow. I had no idea of this project running on my doorstep. I would really like to join ASAP as it seems fantastic value for money. I will contact you after the bank holiday.

  2. I saw this in the paper after reading about it on facebook. I have heard of educate first but thought it was a bogus company, but now that I read about it in the newspaper I have now registered my daughter and hope she gets some benefit from the tutoring at your centre. Thankyou very much for what you do for people in Bradford.

  3. I think you guys are doing a fab job. You should contact other newspapers who should also help to tell people about your great work. All four of my children come to the Bradford centre and they love it. I will be telling others about your project and may God bless you all in what you do.

  4. Not many companies get mentioned in the local paper for doing such a great job. You guys should be proud.

  5. This is excellent. Can anyone join the project and bring their kids? I really need to get my kids involved.

  6. Just clicked and read the newspaper article. Looks like you guys are doing a fab job teaching local kids 🙂
My kids used to go to Kumon and we even tried Kip McGrath centre but all was a waste of time. Your establishment looks better and I hope to enrol my children. Can’t believe your charges are so low.

Hi, My name is Ameera. I have lived in Bradford all my life and have been looking to send my kids somewhere for extra tuition lessons but could not find a suitable place. I did not even know that these classes were on my doorstep. Read the newspaper article and got my kids to join straight away. Very happy with everything that your company has done so far. Hope you do not increase your prices as it is superb value for money. I hope to tell my sister about your classes as my nephew really needs some help too.

  8. Good article. Good paper. I look forward to reading more of your news on this website because education is good for everybody and we all need it more than the next person.
Thank you Educate First for this wonderful opportunity.

  9. Hi i am kavin, this is what we needed in our city, so thanks. When i read this article i thought i would let you know that this is a fab service you offer.

  10. I missed your article in the Asian Sunday paper. My kids attend your centre already, so please can you give me a copy of the newspaper if you have it. I do not mind paying for a photocopy.

    Thank you very much.

  11. I like the valuable information you provide in your articles. I will bookmark your weblog and check again here regularly.

I am quite sure I will learn plenty of new stuff right here! Very educational for people living in west yorkshire especially in Leeds, Bradford, Dewsbury and Huddersfield areas.

Keep up the good stuff and good luck for the next!

  12. Great content here, I learned at the same time of being entertained, great read! Thank you for the blog post and I wish Educate First all the best with their tutoring programme.

  13. I am regular reader, how are you everybody? This piece of writing posted at this web page is in fact pleasant.

  14. I’ve been browsing online more than 4 hours today on bank holiday, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. Its really cool what your teachers are doing for children in bradford and I hope that my kids will also be able to go to your tuition centre. Can we have free lessons to try it out?

  15. That’s a good article you got in the paper. I am a tutor and would like to help you with your project. I am willing to offer my services for free. Please can someone contact me asap as I have just sent you an email from your website.

Hope to hear from you soon.

  16. You need to be a part of a contest for one of the most useful sites on the internet.
I will highly recommend this site!

  17. Great blog! The news article is great. Education is the way forward in life.

You should do the same in other cities. Please do let me know if you come to manchester. All the tuition centres here are useless.

My friend showed me this article in the local paper. I was quite impressed so enrolled my 2 kids at the Bradford centre. I have to say that I am very happy with the service and the teachers are simply great. The two managers at the centre have been a God send in giving me all the information I need and giving me guidance so that I know how I can help my kids at home. I wish I had come across these classes sooner.

Lots of love from a grateful mum.

  19. Hi, this is the first time I am here. I found this blog about education and find it truly useful. It helped me out a lot and I now know where to come for more information if I need tuition for my kids.

    Thankyou.

I dont normally write on blogs, but i found this company to be very interesting and decided to check out the classes myself to see what al the fuss was about. I have to say that talking to one of the managers at the centre in Huddersfield brought a smile on my face. These people honestly care about our kids and are doing so much to ensure they have the chance to get good exam results. I visited their SATS class and found that even I would find this type of tutoring service useful (and I am 32).

It has to be said, that although the prices these guys are charging are probably the lowest around the service they are giving to kids is one of the best I have seen.

    Ajmal.

  21. Gosh, you even have an educational blog. This is fab.

Just one bit of advice. I honestly believe you offer the best private tuition in huddersfield and although there are other companies popping up trying to copy you they are unable to match your level of dedication, tutoring support, or your fees.

Well done for a successful tutoring project. May God help you in all you do for our children.

  22. This is a brilliant service from the teachers who work here. Just went there for a few weeks and I have learnt so much. Wish the teachers at school would explain things like this. The groups are small and you get through a lot of work in the hour. The teachers come round and help you on the topics you struggle with. I told my friend about this and she will also be registering as I get a free lesson for introducing a friend. We will both be coming back in September as we will be in our final year for our GCSEs.

Very happy and thankful for the help with my exam preparation.

    Thank you.

    Samah

  23. hello i read about you in news paper. i want my 6 children to learn maths and english very quickly. can they join your class please. can i have discount for all my children. thank you much.

  24. Hi, I just wanted to say thanks to Educate First for helping my 2 sons with their studies over the past year. My eldest has got a lot of help with his SATs exams and my youngest has become alot more confident with his maths. Definitely coming back for the summer school and the new academic school term.

    A +++++++

    Regards,

    Ash

  25. I’m pretty pleased to discover this web site and your learning centre. I will be registering my child to attend your tuition centre when the schools start again in September.

  26. Jamie Miller

Great news for local kids and their parents. If only there were projects like this when I was growing up at school. Kids these days have it so easy 🙂

  27. Thank you for a fab service. We agree that the community needed a good tutoring company as our kids have been getting poor grades and no-one seems to care or do anything about it. Hopefully this will bring a change for many kids in the area.

  28. Ahmed Jalaal

I went to your centre in bradford and liked the place. The teachers were friendly and the manager given me very good advice. I want to register my kids to come for tuition. Please help my kids.

  29. I came to your Bradford centre yesterday for lessons for my kids. I needed to register but there was a long queue and I could not wait. Please can you help register them as they need help in English and mathematics please.
