Black Friday & Festive Season FREEBIE

EducateFirst gave away hundreds of FREE, re-usable, large jute bags at their learning centres today to help everyone with their Black Friday & Festive Season shopping.

Unfortunately, there were only a limited number and not everyone managed to get their hands on one. However, we have managed to get hold of a few extra bags – you can still pick one up from your EducateFirst centre manager.

Limited availability – when they’re gone, they’re gone!

So, what is jute? Time to educate all you bag lovers…

Jute is a long, soft and shiny vegetable fibre that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. It is a very versatile material – the fibres can be being used to make fabrics, but can also be used for twine, shoes and bags. Jute is produced primarily from plants in the genus Corchorus, which was once classified with the family Tiliaceae, and more recently with Malvaceae. It takes approximately 4-6 months for the plant to fully grow and can be found mainly in the Bengal area (India and Bangladesh).
